…will you please comment with a link to something that I just HAVE to read today. My google reader is overwhelming, and I’m worried once I step into twitter I will never leave.
You see, Friday is my chill-out day. I don’t HAVE to do anything because I spend the rest of the week taking care of chores, teaching my girls to read, playing, dancing, painting, mediating, cooking, reading (DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE right now, which is so inspiring and balancing for my own writing…this has been a busy and rollercoaster week for my writing, querying, revising, and world-building).
I promise I’ll do the same for you when you need it. You scratch my back…
In fact, you HAVE to watch this. I tweeted about this earlier in the week, but can’t get it out of my head. Humans are all things, but mostly AMAZING.
I don’t usually watch videos, but I’m so glad I watched your second one. That is amazing! Also kinda loving the debate going on in the comments about ‘if MIT students invented this, why isn’t there world peace yet?!’.
I didn’t read the discussion in the comments, but going to do that now! Thanks for watching and commenting and being named Sophia. xx
Wow, that bottle-light is amazing. People are amazing. This world is (you guessed it) amazing.
A link you have to read? Hmm… I may need to get back to you on that one.
AMAZING. Light in the darkness! (I’ll let you off on the link since you email me those all the time, which is much appreciated).
That was a great video! Thanks for that. And for a link to read….hmmm….read http://www.loridyan.com
She’s freakin’ funny!
Thank you for enabling my laziness.
You’re freakin’ funny too. xx
Hi Sarah,
You just gave me one more reason to never start a-twittering. As to what you should read? Why, my latest post of course:) I don’t usually watch videos but I’m glad I watched this one. Very inspiring to see plastic bottles put to some good use.
Happy Friday-Chill-Out-Day!
Yvonne, I read ALL your posts. Wait…what did I miss? That video is something actually worth sharing, you know? I really like twitter because I can just skip in, read through the interesting links, skip out. But even that sometimes feels like a chore. Thanks, today was very chilled.
Love the music video and the second video is inspiring. It’d be way cool to get a local tv news program to do a piece on the light bottle. Or maybe a national news or talk show or something. I mean I know you tube is all over but it would be a great story to see on television. Sorry no links but I may need a beta reader soon.
I can beta read.
Also, have you checked out Rachael Harrie’s post about exchanging info for Beta’s and CP’s? Probably would benefit you to have someone writing in your genre have a look at it too.
TV? what’s that? xx
We are a specie of survivors. The ingenuity of it. And then we do not stop complaining about this and that, everything we’ve got taken always for granted.
And you do not have to read anything today. Enjoy the day light and the artificial light too
Yes, of course. Thank you for your comments, as always.
Wow, the first video was so creative. The second video was so sad. We really don’t know how well we live until we see the suffering of others.
I’m not sure if you have either of these awards; they’re being passed out. I’m nominating you for them. My link is: http://sherilswift.blogspot.com/2011/09/blogger-awards.html
Sheri, thanks so much! You know, not taking away from what you say, but the second video really made me amazed and hopeful.
Whoa…that 2nd video gave me chills. Wow. So simple yet so life changing for them, so…illuminating. Brillz. (but, now I feel guilty for living with so many luxuries.)
I too love Twitter because it’s fast, I can pop in and say hello to lots of people, reply to a couple of their tweets and pop out. Blogging is far more time consuming. But, I love reading blogs, too.
Have a lovely week, Sarah.
Love,
Lola
Hey Lola! Yes, it puts things into perspective. So necessary.
I’ve found that with blogs I have to pace myself or it’s overwhelming. xx
